NOTE:
There were nine volumes of data preserved for the CRISP/Image data set.
Little or no documentation was provided describing individual directory
structures on those volumes. Consequently, for this version of the data
set the original volume structures have been incorporated, unchanged,
under the 'volume/' directory - including the volume index, catalog and
voldesc.cat files. So, for example, to find the data from the CON_2005
volume, one would look under "volume/con_2005/crisp".
The catalog directory at the root level contains versions of the
relevant catalog files that have been updated to current PDS (V3.8)
standards.
Documentation for all CONTOUR data sets is collected into the pseduo-
data set CON-CAL-ALL-6-DOC-SET-V1.0, volume ID = CON_0001.

***** File AAREADME.TXT
This CD-ROM contains contributions by participants in the NASA CONTOUR
Mission and assembled for archiving by the CONTOUR Science Data Center (SDC)
at Cornell University and the Small Bodies Node of NASA's Planetary Data
System (PDS).

Because contact was lost with the CONTOUR spacecraft
one month after launch, there is no mission data to be archived for this
mission, but ground calibration data and this documentation CD have been
archived to document the work completed at that point and to
support future comet flyby missions.

Because such events as in-flight calibration never occurred,
the calibration software was not completed.

VOLUME_ID = CON_10NN
====================
These volumes contain an archive of data from the CONTOUR Forward Imager
(CFI) instrument, taken in the Optical Calibration Facility (OCF) at
Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL).
See the catalog files, the documentation volume
and the volumes themselves for a more detailed description of the
contents of each volume.

The CONTOUR project in consultation with the Small Bodies Node decided that
the data would be archived in the PDS format. Consequently, the layout
of this volume and the labels for each file conform to PDS guidelines.
The components of this data collection, however, are not fully compliant
since they have not been through a formal PDS peer review. The data
suppliers individually address the validity of the data.
We wish to acknowledge the work of each investigator for the CONTOUR mission
teams as well as Anne Raugh of Small Bodies Node staff.
