This directory contains two major documents, each in several formats          
under its own directory:                                                      
                                                                              
  context/     Context plots                                                  
                                                                              
  identify/    Line identification plots                                      
                                                                              
Below each of these directories are subdirectories for each of the            
three formats supplied (PDF, PNG and PostScript).                             
                                                                              
In each case, the original document was supplied as a PostScript file         
and converted to the PDF and PNG formats.  The PostScript and PDF files       
are offered in two forms: a single file containing the entire document        
(table of contents and plots); and separate files for each plot with          
a table of contents file (possibly in ASCII).  PNG format is supplied         
as separate files for each plot, but a single-file version is included        
only for the context plots.                                                   
                                                                              
In addition, an explanatory file 'transition.html' is also provided.          
This file contains an HTML-formatted quote from Cochran and Cochran           
(2000) which explains the transitions included in the data files and          
gives some indication of how the standard transition notation has             
been converted into flat ASCII in the data files.  This file is in            
HTML format to preserve, as far as possible, the original published           
notation, which includes italics, superscripts and subscripts.
