This volume contains Dynamic Science Experiment Data from the 81P/Wild 2 encounter of the Stardust mission.

An overview of the volume contents is provided in the aareadme.txt, with the corresponding PDS label in aareadme.lbl. Known errata are presented in the errata.txt file.

Catalog Files

Catalog files contain the overview information and parameters used in loading the PDS central catalog, specifically, or for developing other interfaces to the data outside of PDS. The information they contain, particularly in their descriptive text fields, should be clear, complete, and understandable to a research user who is not necessarily a mission or instrument specialist.

These files are located in the catalog/ subdirectory. The directory contents are described by the catinfo.txt file.

Documentation Files

In addition to the small text files located throughout the volume to describe directory contents, some specific documents are provided to assist with understanding the data and processing involved.

These files are located in the document/ subdirectory. The directory contents are described by the docinfo.txt file.

• onlabels.txt provides basic information on PDS label structure, with a data label file example.
• sff_sis_sdu.pdf is an edited version of the general Software Interface Specification for Small Forces files produced by several missions. This version only addresses the Stardust files. The label is in sff_sis_sdu.lbl

Data Files

Two data files are presented in the data/ subdirectory as ASCII tables. Labels are in separate files, with the table column definitions in a third file.

Index Files

This directory contains an index into the data files included on this volume (in the data/ directory).
