The following plot shows the number of NIS spectra for each NEAR mission phase. The spectra counts for uncalibrated, Level 1 data include calibration observations. The counts for the calibrated, Level 2 data include spectra of good quality (NIS data quality index of 0); dark observations and plaque calibrations are excluded. Values for calibrated spectra are the unitless intensity-over-flux (IOF).
