Following are some Web sites not affiliated with the PDS or SBN, but which
contain information which might be of interest to our users.
Small Body Ephemerides
- The Near-Earth Object Program
at JPL offers a nifty orbit visualization tool as well as a link to
and ephemeris generator.
- The Solar Systems Dynamics Group
at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory has developed the
HORIZONS system to
provide ephemeris information for a multitude of solar system bodies
through their web interface.
Impact Hazards
Asteroids
- The Minor Planet
Center catalogs asteroid (and comet) identifications and orbital
elements and prepares ephemerides
- Ted Bowell
has an independent set of asteroid orbital elements available through
his home page at Lowell Observatory.
- EARN, the European Asteroid
Research Node, located at the Institute of Planetary Exploration in
Berlin, Germany. This site was established to support communication and
information exchange among observational and theoretical asteroid
researchers.
