SCIENTIFIC OBJECTIVES ======================== To gather images of comet Grigg-Skjellerup in support of GEM. The images from Calor Alto were used primarily for astrometric positions and the observing program is described in Birkle and Boehnhardt (1993). The data from ESO was primarily to study the comet near the encounter time on July 10, 1992 (Jockers, K. et al. (1993),Fulle, M. et al. (1993)). Narrow-band mages collected from the AAT were intended to study the emissions from H2O+ (Jones, G. et al. 1996).
