Subject: HRI-SIM TV2 Flash report Date: Mon, 19 Aug 2002 23:03:01 -0400 From: Dennis Wellnitz Hi all, Today (Monday), we first attended the All Hands meeting at Ball from 8:30-9:30 am MDT, and then convened for our planning meeting. We then continued checking and refining focus, clearing up some questions about interpretation of some of the images from yesterday, and determining positional drift of the GSE since yesterday. The next item on the agenda was spectra of Argon and Krypton lamps, to check spectral registration. The outcome of that analysis is that we are about 1 pixel from the desired location of the spectrum (in the direction which favors the short wavelength end of the range): well within tolerance. Currently we are taking blackbody spectra at a variety of temperatures from 180 to 830 degrees C, for use in producing a flat field correction, and plan to stop taking calibration data no later than 9:30 pm MDT today. Tomorrow we plan to convene at 9:00 am to review status and plan the work of the day. Please let me know if you have any comments or questions. If you would prefer not to receive these Flash reports on HRI-SIM TV2, please let me know. Dennis
