PDS_VERSION_ID = PDS3 RECORD_TYPE = "STREAM" OBJECT = TEXT NOTE = " This data set contains the EPOXI HRIV Stellar PSFs Data Archive. " PUBLICATION_DATE = 2010-04-30 END_OBJECT = TEXT END Introduction ============ This data set contains a clear-filtered High Resolution Visible CCD (HRIV) point spread function (PSF) for exoplanet transit targets GJ 436, HAT-P-4, HAT-P-7, TrES-2, TrES-3, XO-2, and XO-3 and at least one filtered HRIV PSF for stellar calibrator targets for the EPOXI mission. The PSFs were produced by applying a drizzle method to sets of HRIV images of the targets acquired during 2008. A PSF for transit target WASP-3 was not produced due to a crowded star field. Data Set Format =============== This data set has been formatted according to the ISO-9660 level 2 Interchange Standard for directories and file names as described in Version 3.7 of the PDS Standards Reference. File Formats ============ All text documents and other meta information files such as descriptions, PDS object definitions, and detached PDS labels are stream format files, with a carriage return (ASCII 13) and a line feed character (ASCII 10) at the end of the record. This allows the files to be read by various operating systems. Data Set Contents ================= Files in the data set are organized into a set of subdirectories below the top-level directory. The following table shows the general structure and content of these directories but does not exhaustively list every file in each directory. In the table, directory names are surrounded by forward slashes (/), and the top-level of the data set is indicated by a single forward slash. See the *INFO.TXT files in each top-level sub-directory for specific information about the files under that directory. / Top level of data set | |-- AAREADME.TXT This file | |-- VOLDESC.CAT Description of the logical contents of this data set | |--/CATALOG/ Directory containing the PDS catalog objects | | | |-- CATINFO.TXT Description of files in this subdirectory | |-- DATASET.CAT Description of this data set | |-- DIF.CAT Description of the Deep Impact flyby spacecraft | |-- EPOXI.CAT Description of the EPOXI mission | |-- HRIV.CAT Description of the HRIV CCD instrument | |-- PERSONNEL.CAT Personnel involved in creating this archive | +-- REF.CAT References to works cited in the catalog objects | | |--/DATA/ Directory containing the PSFs | | | |-- HRIVIS_target_yymmdd_v_m_f.FIT | +-- HRIVIS_target_yymmdd_v_m_f.LBL | One PSF provided as a 2-dimensional FITS image file | and its detached PDS label; the file naming | convention is: | HRIVIS = HRIV CCD instrument | target = Target name, usually abbreviated | yymmdd = Effective (not creation) date of this PSF | v = Version # of this PSF for effective date | m = HRIV image mode, 0 indicates this PSF | applies to all HRIV modes | f = HRIV filter number: | # Name Center Width | 1 CLEAR1 650nm >700nm (not band limited) | 2 BLUE 450nm 100nm | 3 GREEN 550nm 100nm | 4 VIOLET 350nm 100nm (shortpass coating) | 5 IR 950nm 100nm (longpass) | 6 CLEAR6 650nm >700nm (not band limited) | 7 RED 750nm 100nm | 8 NIR 850nm 100nm | 9 ORANGE 650nm 100nm | |--/DOCUMENT/ Directory of documents most useful for understanding | | this data set; Each document has a detached PDS label; | | The full documentation set for Deep Impact and EPOXI | | is available in the PDS data set | | DI-C-HRII/HRIV/MRI/ITS-6-DOC-SET-V3.0 | | | |-- DOCINFO.TXT Description of files in this subdirectory | | | \-- EPOXI_HRIV_PSFS.* | Describes how the HRIV instrumental PSFs for EPOXI | stellar calibrators such as Achernar and those for | exoplanet transit targets such as GJ 436 were produced | using a drizzle method; also discusses the utilization | of the PSFs | +--/INDEX/ Directory containing index files | |-- INDXINFO.TXT Description of files in this subdirectory |-- INDEX.TAB Table locating data files on this data set |-- INDEX.LBL PDS label for index.tab |-- CHECKSUM.TAB MD5 checksum file for this data set +-- CHECKSUM.LBL PDS label for checksum.tab Whom to Contact for Information =============================== Questions regarding the scientific elements of this data set should be directed to: Michael A'Hearn Principal Investigator, EPOXI Department of Astronomy, University of Maryland College Park, Maryland 20742 USA Drake Deming Co-PI, EPOXI Principal Investigator, EPOCh Investigation Goddard Space Flight Center Greenbelt, MD 20771 USA Richard Barry EPOCh Science Team Jet Propulsion Laboratory Goddard Space Flight Center Greenbelt, MD 20771 USA Questions regarding the PDS elements in this data set should be directed to: Stephanie McLaughlin EPOXI Archive Team Department of Astronomy, University of Maryland College Park, Maryland 20742 USA
