RECORD_TYPE = "STREAM" OBJECT = TEXT PUBLICATION_DATE = 2003-10-05 NOTE = "Description of "snip" images." END_OBJECT = TEXT END SNIP image description A "snip" image is a CCD sub-image or "snip" that were used in some form by the navigation team. All snip images have only a 100x100 area of true data. The rest of the image array is zero so "snip" images can't be calibrated. Some snip images were placed in position in a "new" CCD image, resulting in a redundant image (for example, snip21_59_41.pds is redundant because the data array is present in ccd_srsen_3.pds).
