NULL_0000(a) 1. root directory A. missing required AAREADME.TXT B. missing ERRATA.TXT this file is optional, but required to explain deviations from standards (if any) C. all files require a PDS label (i.e., dataset.html). prob best to delete this file from the archive. D. voldesc.cat 1. not all catalog files listed in the OBJECT=CATALOG object. 2. VOLUME_ID = "NULL_0000" and VOLUME_SET_ID = "USA_NASA_PDS_NULL_000X" Can we select something else instead of "NULL". You have another volume in this "set" also labeled "NULL_0000". 2. catalog directory A. missing required CATINFO.TXT B. there are two reference.cat files on this volume, one in the catalog directory, the other in the catalog/targets directory. They should be combined. scratch the above. The reference.cat file in the target directory really isn't a reference file. Rename this file to something else, so as to not confuse with a "real" reference.cat file. the "reference.cat" file can be considered a reserved name. A test ingestion failed with this file (in the target directory) indicating that a TARGET_NAME was not supplied. However, you do have one, with the value of "REFERENCE". I suspect that this is a related problem to the above discussion. The TARGET_NAME of REFERENCE will need to be changed to something else. TARGET_TYPE is of StdValueType = STATIC. Value in file is invalid. I cannot get this file to ingest. Will have to debug later. May be problem with ingestion software, or a problem with the file. Will have to investigate later. C. reference.cat 1. reference not in proper format. delete the apostrophies. PDS uses the AGU format. 3. data directory A. notes.lbl/notes.tab 1. Not sure this is a "correct" usage of a table. Label indicates 20 records, but there are really only 8 records. Subsequent lines are continue lines of previous. Can they be placed on a single line? 2. What is start_byte=6, bytes = 1 supposed to be? It is in the file, but not defined. B. colors.lbl/colors.tab 1. What is start_byte=5, bytes=1? In file but not defined. C. *.lbl/*.tab 1. As above (3.A.2. and 3.B.1.), undefined byte in file. D. reference_list.tab 1. Unusual, I haven't seen a reference list in a data format. Shouldn't it be in a REFERENCE.CAT file instead? If left in this format, see 3.A.1. above. 4. index directory A. okay
