Whom to Contact for Information
The New Horizons Pluto Encounter Plasma and Particles Science Theme Team
generated the derived data products in this dataset of the flux of high
energy particles and spectra along the New Horizons trajectory as taken by
the Pluto Energetic Particle Spectrometer Science Investigation (PEPSSI)
instrument. These data products were created from calibrated data taken
during the Pluto mission phase.
Science data content
This document is a volume structure overview of the New Horizons (NH)
Upper level data products for the Plasma and Particles Science Theme Team.
Guidance is provided in this document for the following dataset:
All NH Raw and Calibrated datasets were generated in similar fashion
by an automated pipeline, but the higher level datasets were created
by a customized process. However, all of the information that follows
should be common to all high level NH datasets, with pointers to
locations where more information can be found. Refer to the data
set catalog (CATALOG/DATASET.CAT) and documentation (DOCUMENT/), for
non-standard information specific to each dataset. For more general
mission documentation, please see the mission documentation dataset
delivered to the PDS along with this release.
This volume has been formatted according to the PDS Standards Reference
All text documents and other meta information files such as
descriptions, PDS object definitions and detached PDS labels are
stream format files, with a carriage return (ASCII 13) and a line
feed character (ASCII 10) at the end of the record. This allows
the files to be read by most current operating systems.
Data are provided in PDS labels and in csv format.
Files on this volume are organized into a set of sub-directories
below the top-level directory. The following table shows the general
structure and content of these directories, but does not exhaustively
list every file in each directory. See the *INFO.TXT files in each
top-level sub-directory for specific information about the files
under that directory.
In this table, directory names are surrounded by forward slashes (/),
