Lucy Terminal Tracking Camera (TTCam) Donaldjohanson Calibrated Collection Data Set Overview =============================================================================== This collection consists of calibrated image products acquired by the TTCam instrument during the Lucy Mission Donaldjohanson Encounter. The Lucy spacecraft closest approach to Donaldjohanson occurred on April 20, 2025 17:51:16 UT at a distance of 962 km. Data calibration is described in Zhao, et al. Pre-flight and In-flight Calibration and Performance of the Terminal Tracking Cameras (TTCams) on the NASA Lucy Mission. Earth & Space Sci. 11(8) (2024). doi:10.1029/2024EA003576. Data Products =============================================================================== Products contained within this collection are .FITS images described in the TTCam SIS document. Calibrated images are corrected for instrument artifacts and are radiometrically calibrated. Note that TTCam images that are 1944 x 2592 rows x columns are “Tracking Mode” images, most often acquired during the few minutes around the mission’s actual asteroid flybys. TTCam images that are 2000 x 2592 rows x columns are “Calibration Mode” images, primarily of stars and star clusters, that are acquired during periodic calibration campaigns not associated with the mission’s actual asteroid flybys. More details on the differences between Tracking Model and Calibration Mode images can be found in Bell et al. (2023) and Zhao et al. (2024) Last Revision 2025-08-22
