1. Introduction
===============
This dataset contains science, calibration and checkout images
acquired by the OSIRIS camera system on the Rosetta mission.
The images were acquired during the ROSETTA EXTENSION 3 mission phase covering the
period from 2016-09-26T06:40:00.000 to 2016-10-01T00:00:00.000.
Note that the data part of the FITs files in the /DATA/FIT directory is
identical to the data part of the PDS files in the /DATA/IMG.

2. File Formats
===============
The OSIRIS PDS images are stored as data files with embedded label.
In addition, a detached label is provided for FITs and JPEG.
The data (PDS and FITs) are stored as:
a. two dimensional 16 bit integer arrays for CODMAC level 2 data
b. two dimensional 32 bit float arrays for CODMAC level 3 and higher data
The data are referenced using a PDS IMAGE object.

2.1 Sofware For Reading PDS Images
==================================
FWPDS is a library for accessing (and manipulating) PDS data, and is provided
in this volume (see below). But it requires IDL 6.1 (or later), and is no
longer officially supported.
The PDS images contained in this volume can be read by any PDS-compliant
software, for example, NASAView:

Files on this volume are organized into a set of subdirectories
below the top-level directory. The following table shows the
structure and content of these directories. In the table, directory
names are enclosed in square brackets ([]). See the *INFO.TXT files
