PDS_VERSION_ID = PDS3 RECORD_TYPE = STREAM OBJECT = TEXT PUBLICATION_DATE = 2013-01-22 NOTE = "ROSETTA NAVCAM ERRATA.TXT" END_OBJECT = TEXT END The label files currently do not contain information about the orientation of the images and the distance of the spacecraft to the target. These quantities can be calculated with the set of SPICE kernels available in the SPICE dataset. In future NACVAM data releases the information will be included in the product labels. The SC_SUN_POSITION_VECTOR keyword in the product labels gives the position vector of the spacecraft in the ECLIPJ2000 reference frame, i.e. the vector from the Sun to the spacecraft. This is also stated in a comment line in the label file. However, according to the standard this keyword should specify the vector from the spacecraft to the Sun in the J2000 frame. The RIGHT_ASCENSION and DECLINATION keywords in the product labels indicate the direction of the instrument boresight in the J2000 frame. The keywords COORDINATE_SYSTEM_ID and EQUINOX_EPOCH foreseen for indicating the reference frame are not included. Stellar aberration has currently not been taken into account in the boresight direction calculations. GENERAL COMMENTS FROM PSA/PDS ============================= Please note that due to differences in the way in which the Planetary Science Archive (PSA) and the PDS Engineering Node handle the catalog files during ingestion, the INSTHOST and TARGET catalog files that are available on the PSA have been split into several files on the PDS side, one for each object within the catalog(s). The written content of the catalogs have not been changed, and the data sets are otherwise identical.
