This data set contains instrument raw data obtained by the Fluxgate
Magnetometer (RPC-MAG) onboard the ROSETTA spacecraft from the
PRELANDING Phase,for the time interval March 23, 2014 until
November 21, 2014. Included in this dataset are the measurements of
 -the Post Hybernation Commissioning: 23.-27.March 2014
 -the Near Comet Drift  Phase: 17.March - 1.July 2014
 -the Far Approach Trajectory: 2.July - 1.August 2014
 -the Comet Characterization Phase: 2.August - 2.September 2014
 -the Global Mapping, Close Observation Phase: 3.September - 24.October 2014
 -the SDL (Separation and Landing) and FSS: 12.-13.November 2014
The magnetometer consists of two sensors, the OB and the IB sensor,
mounted on a spacecraft boom. The instrument provides 3 component
magnetic field vector data measured by both sensors. In this data
set ground calibrated, averaged data can be found.
Magnetic field data are given in nanotesla.

 Due to strong magnetic disturbance by the ORBITER and by the LANDER
 Philae, the magnetic field data are influenced by s/c generated
 magnetic fields. The source of these disturbance is manifold:
  - transient currents flowing on the spacecraft
  - Heater pulses
  - Thruster related magnetic field
  - Reaction wheel signatures
  - etc.

  Due to the complexity of these circumstances a proper data
  cleaning is an ongoing task. Thus  the data of the present dataset
  still contain the mentioned disturbance signatures.

  Therefore, any use of the data for scientific research has to be
  done under consideration of these disturbances.

directory. This directory has three subdirectories for HK,IB, and OB data.

The ROSETTA project decided that the data would be archived in the
PDS format. Consequently, the layout of this volume and the labels
for each file conform the PDS/PSA guidelines.
